Halocarbon® 4.2 Oil

Low-viscosity PCTFE inert oil. An instrument fill fluid and mechanical seal barrier fluid, as well as a single-phase immersion cooling / heat transfer fluid for electronics. A cost-effective replacement for Solvay Galden HT230 — no flash point (nonflammable), compatible with reactive media such as oxygen and chlorine. Korea stock available, ready to ship.

Galden replacement
Halocarbon 4.2 → Galden HT230

Per HQ data, 4.2 Oil is comparable to Galden HT230 in vapor pressure and viscosity, and while it holds similar thermal conductivity and boiling point, its dielectric strength and dielectric constant are superior to Galden. It is a cost-effective alternative amid recent price increases for dielectric fluids.

Its low viscosity (4.2 cSt) means low circulation resistance for fast heat-transfer and cooling cycles, and a dielectric constant of 2.8–3.0 insulates electronic components to reduce the risk of short circuits. Long-term thermal stability to 204°C gives the fluid a long service life even in high-heat environments.

Halocarbon 4.2 and 6.3 are the fluids HQ presents with properties optimized for single-phase immersion cooling. For two-phase (evaporative) immersion cooling, HFMOP is the fit.

4.2 is in the low-viscosity line. If you need an ultra-low viscosity with faster circulation and cooling cycles, consider 0.8; if you need more boiling margin and film stability, consider 6.3.
